The problem with a lot of protein bars is that many of them are too high in fat and sugar.  What I like about the Labrada Nutrition brand is that they try to cut back on the sugar and fat while still providing a great tasting bar.  My personal preference is to stick with protein shakes or MRP's (meal replacements) but when on the run the protein bar is really the way to go.  The key is to look at the ingredients and make sure that the sugar content is not too high.  Otherwise you really just eating a high protein candy bar.  Another key tip is to make sure that the first ingredient in the protein bar is not High Fructose Corn Syrup.  Otherwise you might as well just settle for a Snickers instead.

That being said, Labrada does put a lot of emphasis on quality and although I don't think the protein bar is a good as the Lean Body shake or the ProV60 shake, it still is a great source of protein while on the run.
